Happy Birthday! I will have to check out that flicker group! I am in serious need of quilting inspiration!
Happy Birthday Ariel! I LOVED my soft pink blanket when I was a little one. I have 2 little girls that would LOVE this quilt. :) Have a great day.
Belle would love an Ariel original. My favorite blanket is a burgundy/hunter green quilt my grandma made me. Belle is actually curled up on the couch with it as I type.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
I used to have a "Special Grandma" growing up. Even though we were not related by blood, we were related through Christ. Grandma Wilma LOVED to knit! I still have a big beautiful pink afghan she knitted for me when I was about 10 years old. My oldest daughter, Sarah, now uses that smae afghan on chilly nights. Grandma Wilma went to be with Jesus several years ago, but I have many fond memories, and her blanket, to keep me warm!
Happy Birthday! You're photography is amazing. I love the camera strap idea!!! My favorite blanket growing up is the one my Grandma knitted me. I still have it today. It's a rainbow of colors and I took it EVERYWHERE. It's funny how everyone's favorite is from their Grandmas. Have a great birthday today:)
I love the little quilt! I quilt myself and my favorite quilt right now is a blue jean rag quilt that I made for my hubby to use in the living room at night while watching tv, but I seem to end up with it almost every night. When he is ready to sit down for some tv. He goes and gets my quilt (Another I made for him) and trades me for the jean quilt :)
He just doesn't know that our 4 year old uses his quilt all day long while he is at work as a play mat on the floor when he gets his cars out :) Gotta love a good quilts!

Happy Birthday! I haven't been good at commenting on all of your projects, but I think you do really great work. Keep it up!
The little doll quilt is cute. My daughter started learning to sew last year and the first thing she made was a little doll quilt. Fun!
My granddaughter would love your little quilt for her doll. Welcome to quilt bloggers. Your site is lovely. averyclaire@comcast.net

Oooh, I want that. My favorite blanket growing up was a double-bed-size quilt made by my grandma. Maybe you remember it. It was patchwork on one side, then a really awesome retro orange print flannel on the back. I think my mom still has it, but someday I will get it back. Oh yes, I will get it back.
Hi Ariel! My favorite blanket while growing up was one that my mom had crocheted for me. It was white with pink fringe. I had that blanket for years until it finally just started falling apart!
Hope your birthday is the happiest.
My favorite blanket was a quilt my great gramma made that had appliqued flowers on it. I can still remember all the bright colors and can remember running my fingers along the stems. I think this is where my love of quilts came from.
Love your little quit.
Thanks for the chance to win.

Hi friend!! Do I get dibs because I'm family? Hee hee! I love the quilt it is beautiful:)
My favorite blanky growing up was a brown patchwork blanket that the dog slept on all the time. I know it sounds weird, but I loved to cuddle up with Bootsie on that blanky in front of the fireplace! We still have it and we use it for packing and picnics!
This was really fun!
Hi Ariel, hope your birthday was a wonderful and special day for you. I can't believe you have gone from being timid to making a baby quilt to also making the crib bumpers and now a sweepstakes quilt. You go girl! I'm so proud of you. I haven't forgot about our shopping excursion for quilt fabric in Franklin, it'll have to be after Easter. My main Man J has to come first right now :). You're mini quilt is so cute. Keep it going.
Happy Birthday, and thanks for stopping by my blog!! I love your mini quilt and I know my daughters would, too. Glad to "meet" you and I'll be back to visit your blog!
Sweet! I would love a chance to win that adorable quilt. Thanks for coming by www.gracielousquilts.blogspot.com
I will definitly be back to see more of your cute stuff!
My favorite blanket is one I got from my Grandma. It has a red train pattern on one side and a red silk on the back side. I loved it because if I wanted a warm blanket I would use the train side, but if I wanted a nice cool feel I could use the silky side. It also had that old time lint stuffing. I don't know how many holes I have stitched up over the years. The back looks a lot like railroad tracks now with all my stitches. But I love it! And yes, I do still have it with me. :)
Hope you had a fantabulous bday!! My favorite blanket was from my Grandmother. She had lost her husband and had started learning to paint to help her have a will to live. This was almost 30 years ago, and she has become a very famous artist in her state. Anyway, back to the blanket... She also loved to quilt (although she was a better artist :) ). To make them unique for us, she would paint dolls or scenes on every other square then patch them with other material. Her pieces were always wonderful because of the personality she put in them. I still have 3 she made me- one is my favorite. It is about half a twin bed size made with satin material, not pieced, just one large piece on both sides. I'm not sure why, but she had painted a huge Road Runner (yes, from the cartoon) on the sky blue side. The back was pink- my favorite color. It is falling apart now, as are the other two larger pieced quilts, but I still have it and love stroking it's silkiness. It still takes me back to peace, comfort, and warm memories!
Glad I found you in time. Happy belated Birthday. Favorite blanket...let's see...I always loved the blanket that was on my bed (Minnie Mouse theme). I was sure that it protected me from the monsters in my closet! :)
